WWE: 10 Moves We Want For the Superstar Shake-Up
Rusev (and Lana) to Raw
Despite being one of the most beloved superstars on the brand over the last year, Rusev hasn’t be able to translate that adoration into sustained success. He did manage one opportunity at the WWE Championship, but fell short in that effort. Lately, he’s been in an uninteresting and clearly tossed together tag team with Shinsuke Nakamura. In order for The Bulgarian Brute to return to his winning ways, he needs a new environment.
It’s not difficult to imagine the kind of challenge he could provide to Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor. There are also first-time matches on the table, including Rusev taking on Bobby Lashley, as the two haven’t crossed paths since Lashley’s return to the WWE. Hopefully, “The Ravishing Russian” Lana would come along with him, also giving her a chance to start fresh in Raw’s women’s division.
Drew McIntyre to SmackDown Live
“The Scottish Psychopath” arrived on the main roster during last year’s Superstar Shake-Up, forming an unlikely alliance with Dolph Ziggler. During the last year on Raw, McIntyre had a series of bitter matches with each member of The Shield, and a successful reign as Raw Tag Team Champions with Dolph Ziggler.
Despite a good showing, McIntyre came up short against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 35. In order for him to truly fulfill his destiny as “The Chosen One,” a moniker he received many years ago, he must return to the brand he called home during that time. With a new lease on life, and a whirlwind of fury over losing to Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre could be a fresh challenge to United States Champion Samoa Joe or even WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.
