Shane McMahon gets more heat
After defeating The Miz at WrestleMania 35 by dumb luck, Shane McMahon is out here to address his victory. He’ll probably be delusional about it, knowing full well that he was getting his ass handed to him by Miz, who suplexed him off the top of the camera platform.
Shane puts over Seth Rollins, Kofi Kingston, and Becky Lynch for their feel-good title victories at WrestleMania, which can only mean he’ll make this about himself soon.
Yup. He says that millions around the world tuned in to watch “Shane McMahon defeat The Miz.” Oh, it was too perfect.
Shane says that The Miz is in his “rearview mirror” after the win, and he tells the audience that The A-Lister isn’t in Brooklyn. No, he’s busy tending to George Mizanin, whom he calls “Mr. Miz”.
While running down his battle with “Mr. Miz”, he gets a “You Deserve It” chant for receiving a black eye from Miz’s dad. He then tries to reason that he beat up George Mizanin out of self defense, calling Miz’s dad a “baked-potato face” again.
And, of course, the WWE Universe in Brooklyn gave out CM Punk chants to the so-called “Best in the World”. He had to have seen it coming!
Shane then beckons Greg Hamilton to the ring, admonishing him for not giving the “Best in the World” a fitting welcome. He tells Hamilton, grabbing his tie, that he needs to “get this right” and not worry about the WWE Universe threatening him if he does the introduction.
It’s brilliant! And Hamilton is so good at selling how intimidating Shane is.
Shane’O’Mac isn’t satisfied with Hamilton’s announcing, dragging the ring announcer’s tie all the way to the ramp, begging him to give a better announcement.
Happy with Hamilton’s performance, Shane adjusts the ring announcer’s tie and sends him on the way before exiting.
Grade: C, This was mildly entertaining and ridiculous. But you can honestly skip this segment.
