WWE: 5 Universal Championship opponents for Seth Rollins after WrestleMania 35
Roman Reigns
There are only a handful of wrestlers in the world who have the type of chemistry that Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have in the ring. They are like Sasha Banks and Bayley or Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, sticking with WWE here, when it comes to putting together instant classics. Who can forget their match at Money in the Bank 2016? Or how about their mini-match in last year’s star-making Gauntlet Match that led to the “Monday Night Rollins” moniker?
Recently, Reigns stated that he dreams of having a Universal Title match against Rollins at WrestleMania 36 in Tampa. But perhaps a Universal Championship match between them could come sooner than that; it’s almost too tempting of a matchup to hold off on.
Finn Balor liked to say that he never received an opportunity for the title he never lost, but that isn’t true anymore since he’s taken Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar to the limit in Universal Title matches. But Reigns has legitimately never had a match for the title yet since relinquishing it due to a battle with leukemia.
That means Reigns should be at the top of the list when it comes to title opportunities, especially after dismantling Drew McIntyre on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
