Bobby Lashley

Though Bobby Lashley dropped the Intercontinental Championship to “The Demon” Finn Balor at WrestleMania 35 – and lost rather quickly after being caught off-guard by Balor’s alter ego – he will still be in the Universal Championship picture in 2019.

Lashley has his eyes on the prize, and he’ll probably save his coolest contact lenses yet whenever he gets his opportunity at Rollins’ Universal Championship. With the annoying and agile Lio Rush by his side, Lashley is capable of almost anything, though wrestling fans will be wondering if he’s capable of winning “the big one”.

We’ve seen Lashley and Rollins feud around the time Dean Ambrose was Intercontinental Champion, and it was quite fun to see Rollins and Rush battle at ringside. It also felt like we never got to see what Lashley and Rollins are truly capable of opponents, so this could be a Universal Title that surprises some fans in terms of in-ring quality and build.

Fans may be more excited about, say, Rollins vs. Reigns or Rollins vs. Black, but Rollins vs. Lashley is a very likely Universal Title match that shouldn’t be slept on. It feels like Lashley’s work in the ring gets overlooked, and a world title match against Rollins could serve as a great reminder of how good “The Dominator” is at his best.
