3. It’s a completely new, different match-up

The Superstar Shake-Up – or the WWE Draft, as it used to be known as – is not only meant to kick off the new WWE calendar year and give WWE Superstars a whole new fresh start. The Shake-Up is also supposed to deliver us brand new match-ups. Some of which we may not seen in several years. Others we have never seen before at all. Braun Strowman vs. Samoa Joe is a match that falls into the latter category.

The two gladiators have only ever squared off in multi-man matches (like battle royals and a Money in the Bank Ladder Match) and tag team matches. They have never stared each other down in a one-on-one match; not even on a house show. Even in these aforementioned matches, we cannot recall them ever touching during a match; maybe during the Fatal Four Way SummerSlam 2017 at the very least.

The day these two finally do get booked in a match against each other is going to be seen as a special attraction that any fan in their right man would be dying to buy a ticket to. This is exactly the kind of match WWE should want to showcase in a new year for WWE.

Speaking of new, aren’t we still in the New Era? Give us something new that everybody wants to see!
