WWE: 3 feuds for Kevin Owens after WrestleMania 35
Bobby Lashley
Who, in kayfabe, injured Kevin Owens in the fall of last year by viciously attacking him post-match? Yup, former Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley, who is fresh off of ending Dean Ambrose’s run with a vicious beatdown near the announce table on the stage area.
Lashley and Lio Rush have been ruthless since teaming up together, and their excellent heel run was cemented by The Dominator’s post-match attack on Owens last year. Likewise, Owens had been building sympathy for some time, and it all culminated in his wonderful babyface turn during the match, in which Owens fought with his heart-and-soul for the fans while Rush made derogatory comments about him.
Owens needs to get his revenge on Lashley for what happened those months ago, and while Lashley is in need of his own momentum boost after dropping the title to “The Demon” Finn Balor at WrestleMania, he wouldn’t be winning this feud. Lashley made a mistake by going out of his way to derail Owens’ career on that fateful night, so he’s in need from serious comeuppance from a man who has returned as a better version of himself.
I think some fans don’t understand how good Lashley is in the ring, and his match with Owens last year was quite good. With the additional personal stakes, a full-blown feud between both men could lead to an excellent final match.
