3. Feud with Kofi Kingston

There is no bigger prize on SmackDown – or WWE for that matter – than the WWE Championship. While on Raw, McIntyre was a top contender for the Universal Championship. Hell, before his feud with Roman Reigns, McIntyre was actively lobbying for a shot at the Universal Championship. Just because he switches brands would not mean that his World Title ambitions would have to change. He would just have to keep his eyes on a slightly bigger prize in the WWE Championship.

In his pursuit for the WWE Championship, he would have to have to defeat the current champion, Kofi Kingston. We would all be lying if we did not say that a match between those two guys does not intrigue us just a little bit. Kofi’s best matches have often been against big strongmen – see any of his matches against Cesaro for an example – and a match versus McIntyre suggests an interesting dynamic.

You’ve got a monster who has the ability to toss any man up and down the arena if he ever so pleases. Across from him, you’ve got one of the quickest athletes to ever grace the WWE ring. What’s not to like about that? Throw the WWE Championship in between them and we’re on course for one heck of a suspenseful classic in the making.
