Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles

Thank you to @stvstheworld for this great suggestion.

Somewhat surprisingly, we’ve never seen a match between AJ Styles and Seth Rollins, and you have to think that this is by design. Rollins has been on Monday Night Raw, hence why he turned the show into “Monday Night Rollins” at the beginning of 2018, since the brand split, and Styles defeated Randy Orton at WrestleMania 35 to unequivocally prove that he’s the man who built SmackDown Live.

But because these two have been kept separate, it feels like we have to see a killer title match between them at some point. Styles is a two-time WWE Champion who has faced Orton, Shane McMahon, Chris Jericho and Shinsuke Nakamura at his four WrestleManias, and with presumably only a few years left in his career, his WWE WrestleMania 36 match should be his biggest one yet.

Styles should probably main event a WrestleMania before he retires, and a match with Rollins would be fabulous. I mean, just think of Rollins pulling out a Phoenix Splash, countering the Phenomenal Forearm, barely kicking out of a 450, and then hitting a second stomp to put away one of the most respected opponents of his career.

Either man could conceivably win this match, which makes it that much more exciting – and I’m sure WWE fans would focus on the quality of the match as opposed the winner, anyway. However, if I had to make a pick for this hypothetical dream match, it would be Rollins.
