2. Underutilized Stars Being Wasted

WrestleMania season is suppose to be a time for some of WWE’s best to do their thing, so to speak. It’s when they can truly show off why they are some of the best in the business today by putting on incredible matches and cutting riveting promos.

For stars like Asuka, EC3, and Braun Strowman, that really never happened. They never got their chance in the prime spotlight this past WrestleMania season, and that’s just plain wrong.

The Superstar Shake-Up should be an easy forum to right this wrong by either switching some of these stars to new brands, or switching new rivals to their current brands for them to square off against.

I’ve already addressed Asuka’s need for a post-WrestleMania push, but needless to say, I think she could benefit greatly from the Superstar Shake-Up. A move to Monday Nights, if it were combined with other key factors like quality backing and a revitalized character push, could do wonders for ‘The Empress of Tomorrow.’

On the same train of thought, moving this year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner to SmackDown already seems like it could reap major rewards considering the rivalry with Samoa Joe that appears to be waiting.

Finally, EC3 just needs to find a brand period. Give the man one singular show to be on, and start building him up through mid-card feuds.

If I had to pick a show right now, personally, I would put him on SmackDown Live. There’s plenty of great rivalries for EC3 there, no matter whether he ends up a face or a heel. A feud with someone like The Miz or Randy Orton could go a long way in fixing his broken main roster debut.

Now, admittedly this isn’t a comprehensive list of stars in need who could use a push from the Superstar Shake-Up. If WWE were to implement these changes though, it would at least clear up some of the more high-profile cases of underutilized stars for the time being.
