Ruby Riott

Liv Morgan is a future champion and Sarah Logan had a tremendous performance at this year’s WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, but Ruby Riott is the unquestioned star of the Riott Squad. After all, the faction bears her name, and she came to WWE with a world of experience on the independent circuit before shining in NXT.

Though Ruby has yet to win a championship in either NXT or on the main roster, it feels like she shouldn’t have to wait for long. Recall that Ruby feuded with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair not long after being called up, producing a great match with The Queen at Fastlane just one month before WrestleMania.

Riott’s credentials are well-established, and she can make any feud worth the price of admission. Her heel work in rivalries with Sasha Banks and Bayley, Natalya, and Ronda Rousey are all worth praising. Ruby is an excellent technical wrestler who will sell the absolute heck out of anything, and she has helped the Riott Squad make a few six-women tag matches steal the show on Monday nights.

Seeing the Riott Squad with the threat of the Money in the Bank briefcase would be awesome, and I’m sure Ruby would do an excellent job of spotlighting it, teasing her opponents with the possibility of an especially heinous cash-in. Ruby takes no prisoners, and WWE should strongly consider making her a champion in 2019.
