Sonya Deville

Before the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, Sonya Deville was frequently mentioned as a potential candidate to win the largely symbolic battle royal, and it’s clear that fans are ready for her to receive a push to the next level.

Deville has been teaming up with Mandy Rose for several months, as they were called up together from NXT as part of Paige’s “Absolution” stable. Though Rose has made huge improvements in the ring and has been given more of a spotlight on SmackDown Live, Deville is still the more impressive wrestler inside the ring with her vicious strikes and deadly triangle choke.

More of a sleeper than a favorite to win the briefcase at WWE Money in the Bank 2019, Deville could create some friction between herself and Rose by getting a title opportunity. Based on how she tried to create a rift between Naomi and Jimmy Uso, Rose is willing to do anything to get to the top, and she even had Deville concerned about her true intentions. There’s been a storm quietly brewing, and while it would be sad to see these two break up, it will have to eventually happen in order for one of them to win a championship.

While Rose is a fantastic heel and seems to be the more likely candidate, Deville is more popular with the WWE Universe and has so much untapped potential, especially when it comes to letting her partake in great matches on a near-weekly basis.
