WWE Superstar Shakeup 2019: Full Predictions For Call-Ups, Trades
By Tom Colohue
SmackDown to Raw – Daniel Bryan
And so we get to our number one pick and it’s probably the master of the best heel turn in years. Mr Yes. Mr No. Mr Fickle. Mr Impotent. Mr Daniel Bryan.
Raw may be the land of the giants, but Daniel Bryan has always been a giant killer. Bryan is almost perfect for Fox, but after such a comprehensive defeat from Kofi Kingston, it’s his time to move to newer pastures. That newer pasture? Seth Rollins. Daniel Bryan vs Seth Rollins is a feud worth enjoying. Bryan vs Reigns also have a very positive history.
I don’t see Bryan going too far back down the mountain. Bryan will retain his status as facing major opponents. If Dolph Ziggler is still around there’s some magic there but Raw suffers from a lack of heels on top and a lack of faces lower down. A turn back for Elias, even temporarily, could bear a lot of fruit. The same can be said for Sami Zayn, who already seems as though he’ll be impossible to keep as a heel.
Really, Bryan could do a lot of favors. Initially for up and comers such as Chad Gable but later for Braun Strowman and eventually that top two and call-ups such as Velveteen Dream. Tell me that’s not a fight you want to see. All Bryan needs to do is react in his usual violent, angry, one word shouty way and he’ll make stars.
So what do you think? Which of these trades do you agree with and what glaring omissions do you see? Who deserves to be here and who doesn’t? Let me know what you think on Twitter or in the comments below.
Here’s hoping it’s a good Superstar Shakeup.
