WWE Superstar Shakeup 2019: Full Predictions For Call-Ups, Trades

NXT to Raw – Velveteen Dream
Last week, Elias was interrupted by The Undertaker. This week I’m hoping to see Elias interrupted by Velveteen Dream.
The Dream is simply too big for NXT and has been for quite some time. There is a lot of talent ready to step up and take his spot and his title, with Buddy Murphy already in position to take it from him and go on a great NXT run. That leaves Raw to benefit from the arrival of someone who is going to be an absolute superstar.
This move opens up a lot of feuding options. Velveteen Dream is in an interesting position. He’s a strong character with a distinct personality that goes beyond the age old face vs heel dynamic. As such, he can slot in effectively anywhere. You could throw him in against Seth Rollins at any time in a match that makes me literally salivate. Elias and Corbin both seem like obvious early feuds to help him establish. After that, things aren’t so strong in the current landscape given the lack of heels at the top in Raw, but we’re in a Superstar Shakeup season so people may well be coming over.
There are a lot of people slightly below that top level on Raw who could benefit from a feud with a draw machine such as Dream. Apollo Crews has been in and out of prominence but there is some developing interest in him. Dream vs Chad Gable though? Well, that could be an absolute classic.
The Velveteen Dream is just beginning. A new flag-bearer should go to the flagship show.
