Raw to SmackDown – The Revival
If you want the best tag division in the world, you have to have The Revival as part of it. They’ve struggled on Raw, despite a recent push to prominence, but a move to SmackDown could refresh their careers hugely.
I’ve already mentioned moving The Undisputed Era up to SmackDown, which opens a very exciting option. When you look at the teams you already have things only get more exciting. The Revival vs The Hardyz, The Usos or The New Day is essentially enough feuds to keep you going for well over a year.
Unlike teams such as Rusev and Nakamura or Sheamus and Cesaro, The Revival are a team that are not going to break up and not going to rotate at all. This lends nicely towards a slow face turn, given that they’re simply two tough guys who like a fight. That’s not difficult to cheer. The Revival vs Sheamus and Cesaro is an exciting prospect.
There’s almost too much talent here. The tag teams will be main eventing SmackDown every week.
If Kofi Kingston is going to have a prolonged title run, it’s important to make sure that the absence of The New Day full time from the tag division isn’t too strongly felt. Bringing in new teams to carry that burden is important. Not just in numbers but in terms of quality as well, The Revival will be more than capable of taking that ball and running with it.
