SmackDown to Raw – Samoa Joe

The current United States champion was beaten up by Braun Strowman on last week’s SmackDown. That’s not a feud that I want to see continue but, if WWE must give Strowman a championship, let’s do it on Raw, shall we?

It’s been a tough year for our favorite Samoan named Joe. Big feuds with Roman Reigns and AJ Styles have resulted in a long series of losses. Now as the US Champion, Joe has started to recover from the damage done but there is precious little left for Joe to do on SmackDown. Raw still needs top level heels and Samoe Joe would be perfect for that.

Strowman, Rollins and Reigns are all in good positions for a feud. As the United States champion though, Joe could work with a lot of less prominent figures. Velveteen Dream vs Samoa Joe could be a lot of fun. Crews and Gable have been mentioned before and I see no issue mentioning them again. Joe could trade between top tier and middle tier without losing any of his threat or menace.

Most importantly, you’re taking a mid card player from SmackDown and taking him straight into main event quality on Raw. It’s perfectly reasonable to expect Rollins to lose the Universal title to someone of Samoa Joe’s quality. The promos would be intense and exciting. The matches would be exactly the same.

I would one hundred per cent start Raw this week by having Roman Reigns laid out and then over the course of the whole show reveal that it was the return of Samoa Joe that was responsible. Those two made magic together.
