SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Sasha Banks

First of all, no, Sasha Banks isn’t going to leave WWE before the summer.

Second of all, since she’s one of the best athletes on the roster, she’ll probably end up on the move to SmackDown before the Fox deal kicks in. And if she’s really unhappy about her booking, and WWE is keen on keeping her around, a rekindling of her epic feud with Charlotte Flair is just the thing to do.

You may be wondering, “But Becky Lynch is both the Raw AND SmackDown Women’s Champion! How does Charlotte get one title but not the other?” Well, dear reader, I’d like to introduce you to something called “shenanigans,” which is more than just a restaurant with mozzarella sticks and goofy stuff on the walls.

At no point has WWE announced that the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships have been unified. My guess is that after the Superstar Shake-up, Becky will be forced to either relinquish the title for the show she’s not on (because Stephanie McMahon), or she’ll be booked in a can’t-win situation and lose due to interference of some sort.

However it happens, bringing back a championship feud between Sasha and Charlotte would be a thing of beauty. It’s one of the greatest feuds in recent history, and it may just be the right time to give Sasha a title reign with some legs — you know, so she can actually get a successful title defense on her résumé.
