Lacey Evans vs. Natalya

Natalya comes out to congratulate Becky Lynch on her historic win, clearly having ulterior motives here. She is gassing Becky up big-time, rattling off her accomplishments, such as pinning Ronda Rousey and winning the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships in the same night.

The Queen of Hearts tells Becky that she’s coming for the Raw Women’s Championship, telling her straight-up that she’s after the title. Becky addresses her, calls Natalya “overlooked” and “under-appreciated”. She adds that she expects wrestlers like Nattie to come after her titles.

Who else’s music would hit but Lacey Evans’s? “This dope,” says Becky, and Renee Young and the rest of us agree. The rest of her promo gets a “yikes”, as she challenges Natalya to a one-on-one match as a message for Becky. She’s ready for the Raw Women’s Championship.

So I guess Natalya vs. Lacey Evans is a No. 1 Contender’s match for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Natalya has been handing it to Evans for much of the match, even showing off the strength of her own right hand. Evans keeps trying to beg for mercy in this match, but Nattie won’t stop following up. Of course, Lacey will do anything to win, and she uses the turnbuckles to her advantage. That’s, um, not very classy.

Becky is backstage watching the match proceed, with Evans gaining the upper hand after the break thanks to the turnbuckles.

Natalya locks Lacey into the Sharpshooter, but after fighting it off a second time, Evans is able to get to the bottom rope. She exists the ring when Nattie hits her with a flurry of fists, but Natalya follows up by using the barricade.

But then out of nowhere, Lace hits the Woman’s Right, kicks Nattie up face-first, and then goes to the top rope for a moonsault and the W.

Grade: C, Average match with the expected result. We’re getting Lacey vs. Becky, and I will say that using a wonderful moonsault as her finisher is better than the Woman’s Right. A LOT better.
