Ember Moon

It’s safe to say that wrestlers who led a division in NXT are expected to win major titles on the WWE main roster, and there’s plenty of precedent for that, even if it doesn’t always happen. (Sami Zayn and Neville are two frustrating counter examples, though there’s plenty of hope for Zayn yet.)

Ember Moon was a fantastic NXT Women’s Champion during her brief run, even if she was unable to defeat Asuka in a title match. With Asuka and Ember on the same brand and a third encounter between them for the title is a real possibility; in fact, it’s what makes it even more likely for Moon to win her first main roster title as a member of the SmackDown Live roster.

Michael Cole, since her debut, has consistently referred to Moon as a future women’s champion on commentary, which is a sure bet that she’ll hold a title. Furthermore, she’s one of the six superstars pictured on the new WWE SmackDown banner for the FOX-bound program, making it seem like it’s fate for her to be one of the leaders of the SmackDown Women’s Division.

Moon isn’t far off from Sane in terms of athleticism and selling, and her strength and technical ability are both off-the-charts good. The War Goddess makes the intricate look simple, and she has an innate ability to connect with the audience. Moon is one of the easiest superstars to cheer for due to her aura, uniqueness, and authenticity. I cannot wait for her to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and I’m willing to bet it happens this year.
