3. Randy Orton

Nobody holds a grudge like Randy Orton.  Just ask Triple H.

It has been a theory since the Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston feud from 2010, Kofi has been kept from the main event scene due to almost injuring Orton in a match (so Orton made it seem).  WWE has made it a habit lately to allow art to imitate life, and this theory has become somewhat of a myth in the years since.  This might be a good time to allow art to imitate life once more.

Randy Orton just got out of a mini-feud with AJ Styles in which he reminded us of the impressive resume he has accumulate over years, years when Styles was on the indies and TNA…and years where Kofi took residence within WWE’s midcard.

If AJ Styles gave Orton an axe to grind, Kofi Kingston being the WWE Champion should give him a bazooka to load.  Kofi’s rise in the antithesis of what Orton was wanted to create: a WWE ruled by a self-righteous select few.  Not only would a win over Orton lend strength to the legacy of Kingston’s title reign by stalling Orton’s attempt to legitimize yet another grudge in his career, but it would also allow him to absolve his career of the doomed feud with Orton from years ago.
