The Street Profits

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford have been a tag team for years, yet the Street Profits still haven’t won the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships. They’ve had many opportunities at live events, mostly against AOP and the Undisputed Era, but the Dusty Rhodes Classic competitors have never received a televised opportunity at those championships. Furthermore, they’ve somehow never been on a TakeOver Special.

That needs to change soon, and with the War Raiders now on Monday Night Raw as “The Viking Experience”, the NXT Tag Titles could be Ford and Dawkins’ to win. Both men are more than capable of holding the championships in an NXT Tag Division that will need reinforcements once Hanson and Rowe (or whatever their new names are) leave. But the Street Profits can help ease that transition as champions.

Ford, in particular, is a man to watch. NXT has honestly held him back, because he has all the tools to be a big star even beyond this tag team with Dawkins. He does all the little things well, is an exceptional athlete, and can get just about anything over.

Mia Yim

The WWE Universe has wanted to see Mia Yim with the company for years, and those calls for WWE to sign her only got louder after her sensational performance in the first Mae Young Classic. Somehow, Yim was even better the second time around, and WWE couldn’t ignore her talent; they signed her in a segment that was one of the most emotional of the year.

Already, Yim has faced Shayna Baszler in an NXT Women’s Championship match on NXT TV, and she was also a part of a Fatal Four-Way match to determine the No. 1 contender to the title. Competing against her in that match? Bianca Belair (who technically pinned Shayna at TakeOver: Phoenix), Lacey Evans (the new No. 1 contender to the Raw Women’s Championship), and Io Shirai (arguably the best wrestler in the entire world).

It’s safe to say that Yim, who is a former Knockouts Champion, is someone to watch as a future NXT Women’s Champion. Though Belair could still prevail against Shayna and both Shirai and LeRae are excellent candidates, Yim shouldn’t be forgotten.
