WWE Money In The Bank 2019 early match card predictions
By Mark Justice
WWE MITB 2019 sets the stage for a plethora of championship opportunities. Here are the latest match card predictions for one of the most opportunistic PPVs of the year.
WWE MITB 2019 will feature two MITB Ladder matches, as well as multiple championship and grudge matches. Raw’s MITB participants for both the Men’s and Women’s MITB Ladder Matches were announced recently by Alexa Bliss. For the Men’s, she announced: Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Ricochet; for the women’s, she announced: Naomi, Natalya, Dana Brooke, and Alexa Bliss.
From WWE Raw, Universal Champion Seth Rollins is scheduled to defend his championship against #1 contender AJ Styles. Meanwhile, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is scheduled to defend her championship against #1 contender Lacey Evans and The Miz will battle Shane O’ Mac.
Some other Raw matches that may be added to the PPV card are: Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship and Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins (c) vs. Viking Raiders vs. Revival vs. The Usos for the Raw Tag Team Championships.
From WWE SmackDown, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston is scheduled to defend his championship against Kevin Owens, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is scheduled to defend her championship against Charlotte Flair and Roman Reigns is scheduled to take on Elias. SmackDown’s announced MITB participants for the Men’s MITB Ladder Match are: Ali, Randy Orton, Andrade, and IC Champion Finn Balor; the announced participants for the Women’s MITB Ladder Match are: Bayley, Mandy Rose, Carmella and Ember Moon.
Additional blue brand matches that may be added to the card include IIconics (c) vs. Asuka and Kairi Sane for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Another potential match is Heavy Machinery vs. Nakamura and Rusev for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships that The Hardy Boyz vacated. All of these potential matches consist of feuds currently teased on SmackDown and would be well-deserving of possibly occurring at this PPV.
Lars Sullivan also seems to be in a minor feud with R-Truth that could result in a match on the card, but it’s presumably just a weekly SmackDown feud that is intended to ignite Sullivan’s momentum. Who knows? Maybe R-Truth’s hero, John Cena, will come out to help him fight Sullivan since a Cena-Sullivan rivalry has been highly rumored for months now.
Without further ado, let’s predict the MITB 2019 card, starting with the kickoff show, which may contain the vacant SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match as well as the Cruiserweight Championship match between Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese and #1 Ariya Daivari.
