Braun Strowman vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Baron Corbin vs. Ricochet vs. Finn Balor vs. Randy Orton vs. Andrade vs. Ali [Men’s MITB Ladder Match]🔴🔵

On Raw, Alexa Bliss announced the following participants for the Men’s MITB Ladder Match: (1) Braun Strowman, (2) Drew McIntyre, (3) Baron Corbin, and (4) Ricochet. On SmackDown Live, the four remaining Men’s MITB participants were announced: (1) IC Champion Finn Balor, (2) Randy Orton, (3) Andrade, and (4) Ali.

In terms of Raw’s participants, Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman had both been MITB Contract Winners in 2017 and 2018 respectively but failed to cash in successfully; albeit most would prefer a brand new superstar to win this match, these two have the potential to learn from their mistakes, redeem their failed cash-ins, and become universal champions for the first time in their careers.

Speaking of new superstars, Ricochet is one of the most recent NXT call-ups to the main roster, but he most likely has the slimmest chances of winning the MITB Briefcase since the WWE universe needs a bit more time to invest in his character and get behind him. It is currently too early for him to get a win that would lead him to the main event scene right away; since he only became NXT North American Champion on the yellow brand, the mid card would be his niche at this moment in time on the main roster until the development of his character escalates and gets over with the WWE Universe.

Finally, Drew McIntyre has the best chances of winning the MITB Briefcase; he has been one of the most impressive superstars on the Raw roster and has always been associated with the main event picture but has not won the big one yet.

As a heel, this MITB Briefcase win could be huge for him, especially after losing his opportunities at winning the big one because of Baron Corbin’s continuous outside interferences. It’s quite disappointing that superstars like Cesaro, Robert Roode, Sami Zayn and Cedric Alexander were not included in this match, so it’ll be intriguing to see what WWE does with them in the near future if they get left off the PPV card.

In terms of Smackdown’s superstars, Andrade and Ali may have the best chances of winning the MITB Briefcase. Andrade has been strongly rumored for a push since joining the main roster, and Ali has been steadily rising in the ranks within the SmackDown Live division after being in stellar matches with SmackDown’s top stars. A MITB Briefcase victory could skyrocket their careers and bring light to a future WWE Championship opportunity.

Randy Orton has the slimmest chances of winning since he has already won the MITB briefcase before and cashed in successfully against Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam 2013, but he will bring some well-needed experience and excitement to the match. Balor also has a slim chance since he is the Intercontinental Champion, for it quite rare that a mid card champion would win the MITB Briefcase at the same time.

dark. Next. Ricochet is primed to shine in MITB

It would be insurmountable for half of these superstars to be trusted with the MITB Briefcase this year after two straight failed cash-ins in 2017 and 2018, thanks to Corbin and Strowman. However, it would be highly probable that the heel Scottish Psychopath Drew McIntyre executes the unthinkable, unhooks the briefcase, and cashes in on the Universal Champion, whether it be babyface Seth Rollins or babyface AJ Styles in due time.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre🔴
