4. “The Machine” Brian Cage

This is another pretty obvious one, especially with Brian Cage becoming Impact World Champion. RVD is undeniably the most recognizable name under the Impact Wrestling banner, so it makes too much sense not to feature him in a headlining title bout.

Cage is one of those guys that can have a great sprint with just about anyone, and Rob Van Dam is to the point where shorter matches enhance him as well. A ten-minute bombfest between the two could make for some entertaining stuff, and would likely bring good numbers as well.

RVD has yet to clash with The Machine, and it’s very likely that their first meeting will be for the Impact World Championship. Slammiversary in Dallas would be a great stage to put these two on, and they’d definitely give us a memorable main event.

3. Fenix

This is a personal dream match of mine. The thought of RVD turning back the clock and engaging in some flashy exchanges with Fenix is too appealing. Of course with reports of Fenix and his brother Pentagon Jr. becoming AEW-exclusive in the near future, this may limit the interactions between the stars.

Hopefully, before they are set to leave, Rob Van Dam gets a chance to go one-on-one with one of the best high flying wrestlers on the planet. This would be more of a great one-off match rather than a full storyline, but the match sells itself.
