6. Finn Balor

Finn Balor, our Intercontinental Champion, only ever wins big matches when he’s painted. It’s really that simple.

Balor’s year has been mixed to good. Being in the Intercontinental Title picture – especially his early 2018 feuds with The Miz and Seth Rollins – have been very good for Balor. While feuds with Corbin and Bobby Lashley have been lukewarm, the payoff, that moment when the paint comes out and somebody gets squashed, is always effective. Having the Brock Lesnar match at the Royal Rumble was a big moment, even if it somewhat exposed the major weakness in the whole Balor character.

This of course takes us to Money in the Bank, where it is very difficult to imagine that Finn Balor will come out with the briefcase. Balor would be competing with two faces and has very little heat with the heels on either roster at current.

In fact, to be blunt, without his paint, Finn Balor is starting to seem a little directionless again, isn’t he?
