WWE: Who will win the Women’s Money in the Bank match?
By Tom Colohue
2. Alexa Bliss
It was late in the day writing this when it was announced that Alexa Bliss had been removed from the women’s Money In The Bank match. As such, I had just enough time to update this. Alexa Bliss was my number two pick and, had she been able to compete, she would definitely have been amongst the favorites. With Raw having no top heels and very little top talent, Bliss was a shoe in. She will now be replaced by Nikki Cross.
1. Bayley
Bayley is not just my number one pick to be the future Ms. Money In The Bank but she is also my pick to take the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the night of; stealing it out from under a dominant Charlotte Flair who can not quite finish off Becky Lynch.
There are a lot of reasons that I believe in Bayley. Firstly, with all the recent chatter about Sasha Banks potentially leaving, it’s been forgotten that Boss and Hug broke up and there were two women who could have been in line for a push because of it. Bayley moved to SmackDown, where she can potentially launch a new dynasty amongst some top talent including Lynch, Flair, Asuka, Moon and Sane. That’s a SmackDown six and a half.
Additionally, Bayley has been suffering some major losses recently, which tends to occur right before a big heat gain like a Money In The Bank win. Lynch and Flair have both beaten Bayley clean. However, Bayley was due to tag with Carmella against Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville but was taken out of that match and replaced with Ember Moon. Maybe because the decision was made to have her lose?
Either way, I believe that the best story available and the best wrestling matches available start with Bayley taking the briefcase.
