6. SoCal Uncensored vs Strong Hearts

The montage above is worth 13 minutes of your life. SoCal Uncensored bring veteran presences as well as a pension for hilarious skits. Don’t underestimate their in ring abilites however. Christopher Daniels is one of the most acclaimed wrestlers Worldwide. While he may be 48 years old, Daniels still brings a combination of technical and flying styles which few can match.

Frankie Kazarian is also not a Spring chicken. He is a 2 time PWG champion, a 3 time ROH tag team champion and a multiple belt claiming veteran in TNA. Kaz can still go and while he also brings a charm and machismo which comes off as brash, he can still bring it on a nightly basis. Their tag team partner Scorpio Sky is also an unheralded performer. Sky had worked in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla for almost a decade and was a PWG tag team champion.

More from All Elite Wrestling

When Sky Joined Ring Of Honor in 2017, he immediately received a ROH championship match with Cody. While he failed in his attempt, Sky gained the respect of Daniels and Kazarian. They attacked KUSHIDA after a match with Scorpio Sky in Ring Of Honor. At that moment, SCU was born!

Las Vegas may be the worst town they’ve ever been in, but they plan on showing the AEW fans that they are going to be one of the top draws in the company. The 3 men on the opposite end of the ring are coming over from Oriental Wrestling Entertainment. A wrestling faction which churns out acrobatic feats seen by few and attempted by next to no one.

CIMA is the most recognizable in the group. He was the first graduate of legendary wrestler’s Ultimo Dragon’s Toryumon dojo. Cima has held many titles in the Dragon Gate promotion and was a 2 time tag team champion with his partner, WWE’s rising star Ricochet.

T-hawk is one of CIMA’s partner. He worked for Dragon Gate promotion until CIMA branched off and started OWE. T-Hawk is the current Wrestle-1 champion in OWE and has a devastating ‘Michinoku Driver’ as his finishing manuever.

El Lindaman is 23 years old and has a wide variety of suplexes in his arsenal. Lindaman also appeared in Dragon Gate before OWE and was a six man tag team champion with current NJPW junior heavyweight star Shingo Tagaki.

I was going to predict an upset in this match last week. With foreign talent coming over from various promotions, the one way to get them over besides breathtaking performances are victories in debuts. I have done a 180 degree turn, the SCU ‘Rocky 4’ Montage was sensational and has convinced me that this trio from Southern California are going to leave ‘Double or Nothing with a win.

Winner: SCU
