3. Shinsuke Nakamura

It is really upsetting with how badly the creative team has booked Shinsuke Nakamura since his call up to the main roster. Nakamura rightfully had a ton of steam when he was initially called up but it has since fizzled and he arguably has been the biggest disappointment of all the anticipated call ups.

You cannot completely remove fault from Nakamura as it has been clear in times that he has not put in as much effort as he would in New Japan Pro Wrestling, which was a smart decision to make with his age.

However, WWE has certainly not done Nakamura any favors and as we currently speak right now, he is virtually non-existent in WWE programming and has not had a favorable storyline in quite some time.

Nakamura peaked when he won the 2018 Royal Rumble, which set up a dream match between him and AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34.

That match drastically fell short of expectations and since WWE wanted to extend the storyline and love the prototypical foreign heel, creative had Nakamura turn heel by attacking Styles after the match.

It was never really the same for Nakamura and while he did his best in being a heel, like Styles, he is too good of a wrestler for the hardcore fans to boo. A fresh restart in AEW, where he can be appreciated for his abilities, would be much better than his current direction with WWE.
