2. Velveteen Dream

This NXT call-up is long overdue.

Velveteen Dream is the Superstar that WWE needs right now.

Is he talented in the ring? Absolutely. Is he talented on the mic? You bet! Can he be counted on as a champion? His current run as NXT North American champion points to the affirmative.

The Prince-inspired Dream oozes confidence, charisma, and talent. I think he is someone very high on Triple H’s radar, and one would assume Vince McMahon has taken notice of him.

It would be a blow to NXT to lose Dream, as he has become a favorite with a large group of fans. However, with the recent slide in ratings for both flagship shows, Raw or SmackDown Live could use an injection of what Dream brings.

What would it look like to have Velveteen Dream as US Champion? Do yourself a favor and watch his match with Ricochet at NXT Takeover: Chicago II. Ricochet came out victorious in that bout, but it felt like that was a feud that we would see again on the main roster at some point.

Now is that time.

Debut Dream in the US Title tournament and have him

meet Ricochet in the finals. That match would get the WWE Universe on their feet.
