2. John Cena returning as the Doctor of Thuganomics, full time

John Cena has not gotten the appreciation that he deserves from WWE fans. For a long time, Cena became the figurehead of what wrestling fans hated about WWE: a corporate-created superstar who felt like Vince McMahon wanted to shove down the fans’ throats.

However, since Cena has made the slow transition into a part-time star and then practically not appearing at all, fans are left realizing how big of a star he really was, and how he made the product better.

Heck, the best main roster moment of the decade still belongs to Cena, at least according to most people, in his Money in the Bank match against CM Punk.

Cena will return eventually and WWE likely will give him at least one more run with the WWE Championship so he can break the tie with Ric Flair for the most championship runs of all-time.

When he does return, it should not be under the same gimmick that he left with. Instead, it should be with the one that he surprised the wrestling world with at WrestleMania 35: the Doctor of Thuganomics.

Throughout his career, hardcore wrestling fans have wanted Cena to turn heel because of what he meant as a character. While that might not ever happen, this will be the closest that Cena gets, returning as an anti-hero baby face that not only blurs the fourth wall, but blurs the PG rating.

Love him or hate him, that will generate a ton of buzz and certainly will lead to an increase in ratings.
