WWE: 3 potential challengers for Samoa Joe’s US Title
By Brett Grega
2. Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman has been stuck in limbo for some time now, but seems to finally be back on the upswing with his rivalry with Bobby Lashley.
Strowman’s struggled to maintain any semblance of momentum for months, leading back to the build to WrestleMania 35. Even though that build did cap off with Strowman winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, it wasn’t exactly the spot on the card you would have expected one of the hottest superstars from a year ago to be in.
Now, however, with a likely win against a solid upper mid-card superstar like Lashley on the horizon, Strowman could finally be able to build back up to title contention.
With Universal Champion Seth Rollins busy with Baron Corbin and Brock Lesnar, a feud for the United States Championship seems like it would make the most sense for Strowman.
In fact, a rivalry between Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe was actually teased not too long ago during the somewhat ill-fated Superstar Shake-Up.
That interaction would be a solid base to build a feud off of, with Strowman and Joe both eager to prove they are the most dangerous superstar in WWE.
A hard-hitting rivalry between those 2 would undoubtedly be an exciting way to kick-off Joe’s reign as United States Champion.
