WWE: Yowie Wowie! How Bray Wyatt should make his in-ring return
By Bassam Kaado
Any Stable He Makes Should Be Established Through the Firefly Fun House
I know what you are thinking, a stable? With this stuff?
Yes.
The strength of this character reinvention is the TV format of his segments. Look at how his Firefly Fun House segments are done. Can’t you imagine a very special guest on this week’s episode?
Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Pee-wee’s Playhouse and Sesame Street had guests that came on the show and assisted the host in whatever lesson that episode was focused on. Imagine the disdain of Abby and Mercy for the prospect of Wyatt bringing out a guest? It would be something. But who would be a guest? I have two that come to mind and one seems almost too perfect.
The first is Bo Dallas.
Doesn’t it seem perfect? Think of it: that creepy smile of his, and the desire for everyone to Bo-Lieve. Ugh, it makes me want to see it now! Plus, the clothing choices of Wyatt would work with Dallas (think Miztourage but pulled back). And, let’s be honest, the B-Team is dead.
This could be beneficial, because if Wyatt doesn’t want to wrestle that week, he could send Bo to do his bidding for him. Bo could then have a winning streak of some sorts, and, if/when he suffers a loss, it won’t hurt Wyatt’s credibility.
The second, Nikki Cross.
Let’s face it, this Alexa Bliss stuff is not going to last. Eventually, it will come to a head with Bliss screwing her over or WWE somehow just dropping the whole story.
This would let her have fun again and be more of that chaotic, wild character that won her over in NXT. The benefit for her, just like Wyatt, is that this would make her more focused.
During the Fun House segments, we would see her talking with Bray and then sitting on the floor with the emotionless kids or chatting with one of the puppets.
During her matches, she would go back to be psychotic and crazy, running around and being chaotic. If Bray is ringside with her, he can gesture to her, letting her know to be more focused and not to lose sight of it all.
Final Thoughts
The Firefly Fun House and Bray Wyatt’s creative genius has given me something to look forward to on Raw and SmackDown Live. Every week, I eagerly await to see what new sick and demented idea he pushes between the catching, warmhearted, innocent theme song against the brightly colored set backdrop.
I worried about Bray Wyatt professionally because he was a favorite of mine and I thought his run was over. This reinvention and resurrection has given me reason to have hope. The recent history with WWE’s handle of returns doesn’t give me any reason to be excited, but Bray Wyatt is doing that all on his own.
All we have to do is . . . Let him in . . . See ya! See ya!! (Waves and smiles)
