1. Kofi Kingston

It was about a decade ago that Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler were competing against each other for mid-card championships in the WWE.  But a decade later, the two are competing for a title most fans probably thought neither had a chance at obtaining: the WWE Championship.

Kofi has had a tremendous first WWE Championship reign since making history at WrestleMania 35, but the return of Ziggler has inserted a major thorn in the side of the WWE Champion.  Kingston managed to escape with his title at Super ShowDown against Ziggler, but the non-traditional finish has led to a rematch under a very different stipulation than what the two competed in at Super ShowDown.

The WWE Championship will be on the line inside of a steel cage at Stomping Grounds where Ziggler will look to complete his recent jealous rage by winning his first ever WWE Championship.  The New Day is back in full force with the return of Big E, but hypothetically speaking, this will be a one-on-one match where Kofi and Dolph will settle the score once and for all.

It would be cool to see Ziggler finally capture the WWE Championship, but the problem, just like the majority of his career, is it’s just not the right time.  Kofi has had too good of a title reign thus far and he deserves to have a lengthy title reign that goes beyond Stomping Grounds.  Ziggler just isn’t the guy to carry the WWE Championship right now and, unfortunately, he really never has been despite consistently being one of the best performers the WWE has to offer.

Both World Champions need to win at Stomping Grounds, but Ziggler feels like a bigger threat to Kofi than Baron Corbin does to Seth Rollins. However, the reign of Kofi needs to continue.
