Dexter Lumis vs. Bronson Reed

This is an extremely difficult matchup to predict, since both men have high upside. But because WWE will probably want to give Lumis’s character a huge push, I could even see him winning this tournament.

This will be a brutal matchup showcasing strength and athleticism, but Lumis will find some heelish way of winning.

Prediction: Lumis

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Cameron Grimes

As entertaining and talented as Grimes is in the ring, this one has to go to “Swerve”. He’s the future superstar of this crop of performers. That said, don’t be surprised if this ends up being the best match of the tournament and one of the best televised matches in NXT this year. Seriously. These two are that good.

Prediction: Swerve

Angel Garza vs. Joaquin Wilde

This one could go either way, but I’ll pick Garza to grab the victory here. Garza has already made fans out of those attending live events or viewing clips of him delivering moonsaults and shaking his butt.

Wilde is probably the bigger name to WWE fans and had a stellar career at TNA/Impact, but that means Garza needs the showcase that this tournament provides more; Wilde will have other opportunities to shine in NXT.

Prediction: Garza

Jordan Myles vs. BOA

Boa vs. Jordan Myles is a match fans should not sleep on. Myles is an experienced performer who knows how to tell this story perfectly, and this match will be especially good if Boa fulfills that “monster” role, even if he doesn’t necessarily have to “heel” it up.

While Myles should be the favorite here, I wouldn’t be surprised if WWE went with a minor upset to showcase BOA. Still, how can I pick against ACH?

Prediction: Jordan Myles
