MJF vs. Jungle Boy (w/ Luchasaurus) vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Hangman Page

MJF made his entrance and grabbed a microphone. He called all the fans nerds and did a pop quiz and called Jungle Boy a dollar store Tarzan, Jimmy Havoc a 65-year old man who’s emo, and called Hangman Page Sea Biscuit. MJF proceeded to get the fans to chant video games before saying he loved them before he lost his virginity.

This match was setup at Double or Nothing with all 3 of the other men in this match standing up for Bret Hart when MJF verbally berated him. Hangman entered with a lot of pyro, instantly making him feel like a big star, which is exactly what AEW is trying to do.

Hangman cleared the ring early, but Jungle Boy hit a hurricanrana on Page and sent him to the outside. Havoc hit a series of moves on Jungle Boy and almost scored a pinfall, but MJF rolled him up. Havoc kicked out. Hangman went for the Deadeye on MJF, but MJF escaped and rolled to the outside. Hangman hit a fallaway slam and then a tope on MJF. Havoc hit Page with a cannonball. MJF cut off Jungle Boy, hit the ropes, and then flipped off the fans. Jungle Boy dropkicked MJF in the face. Jungle Boy hit a cannonball moonsault, even though his foot got caught on the turnbuckle, which was amazing.

Jungle Boy went after MJF back in the ring, but MJF cut him off went for a punch on the turnbuckle, but Jungle Boy slipped out and hit a sunset flip powerbomb. MJF kicked out. Havoc hit a running uppercut on Jungle Boy as he was on the top rope and went for a superplex. Hangman powerbombed both men, and MJF got hit with Jungle Boy as they flew off the top rope.

MJF managed to role up Page, but Page kicked out and hit a roaring elbow. MJF rolled to the outside and Jungle Boy and Havoc both hit pump kicks on Page. Jungle Boy hit a reverse hurricanrana on Havoc, Page killed Jungle Boy with a lariat and, MJF put Jungle Boy’s foot on the ropes. MJF hit a flying stomp on Havoc’s arm and an arm wringer that sent Jungle Boy into Havoc.

MJF went for a pin on Havoc, but Hangman Page pulled Havoc to the outside. Hangman and MJF came eye to eye in the middle of the ring and started to exchange strikes that Hangman got the better off with a chop. MJF hit a chop block on the left knee of Page, who was injured by Pac with that very knee. MJF went for the sharpshooter on Page, but Page tripped him up and locked the sharpshooter in on MJF! MJF made it to the ropes.

MJF blocked a shoulder block from Page and hit the heat seeker, but Jungle Boy broke it up. Luchasaurus caught Jungle Boy as MJF knocked him off the apron, but Havoc hit a death valley driver off the apron on Jungle Boy into Luchasaurus. MJF went for the heat seeker on MJF, but he blocked it, hit a flying double stomp, and went for the Acid Rainmaker, but MJF fought out. Hangman flew over the top rope with a Buckshot Lariat, but MJF ducked and Hangman killed Jimmy Havoc with it. Page threw MJF to the outside and then hit the Deadshot on Havoc for the pinfall.

Result: Hangman Page

Really solid match here that highlighted everyone, but really pushed MJF vs. Hangman Page. Page won, as he’s getting the title shot, and he got a great reaction from the crowd, coming across as legit main eventer.
