5. Seth Rollins

This one might be almost too easy, but the WWE Universal champion remains the single strongest ally that Roman Reigns has. The Shield might be dead, but long live The Shield.

We’ve seen Kurt Angle, we’ve seen Triple H, we even briefly saw AJ Styles as a member of The Shield, but Roman and Seth’s brotherhood seems to be truly unbreakable.

One way or another, the Seth Rollins vs Baron Corbin feud ends at Extreme Rules. This could be the beginning of a move towards a feared Rollins vs McMahon feud, or even another run at what’s been a very successful Rollins vs McIntyre feud.

Drew McIntyre actually holds a lot of wins over the current Universal champion. That could be an interesting one.

As powerful as a reunion between these two men would be, the elephant in the room might just be too strong to ignore. At its worst, we could end up with chants for Jon Moxley, but even if the audience is exceptionally generous, it would still be hard to ignore the uncomfortable pairing.

That said, it would probably be a very good match. For those parts that don’t involve Shane McMahon of course.
