Shotzi Blackheart vs. Brandi Lauren
The only women’s match on the card will showcase a feud between Shotzi Blackheart and Brandi Lauren. They previously squabbled at Evolve 129, but because they insisted on brawling in the crowd, the ref ruled the match a No Contest. Blackheart took to Twitter demanding a rematch at Evolve 131 and thanks to a fan vote, we’ve got it.
Shotzi Blackheart has been racking up back-to-back wins at Evolve since Evolve 127, while Lauren recently revealed herself as Anthony Greene’s new manager. If that means Lauren is going to focus more on managerial duties while Blackheart remains a competitor, it’s likely Blackheart pulls out a win.

Josh Briggs vs. Anthony Greene
Speaking of Anthony Greene, he, too, has a match on Saturday. He’ll be facing a 6’8, nearly 270lb behemoth in Josh Briggs in a “The Future is Now Showcase Match.”
Greene recently turned heel against his tag team partner, Curt Stallion, when the two failed to win the Evolve Tag Team Championships at Evolve 129. Greene aligned himself with Brandi Lauren with hopes to use Evolve as a stepping stone to greener pastures, like a spot in NXT. The switch hasn’t paid off so well for Greene as he immediately lost at the following show, Evolve 130, in a match against Tyler Breeze.
Being outmatched by the bigger Briggs, Greene might be on his way to another loss, but to build him into a new, credible heel and make his latest character switch mean something, I think he needs to pull off a sneaky win.

Anthony Henry vs. Arturo Ruas
From one Anthony to another, Anthony Henry will take on Arturo Ruas – another WWE NXT Superstar – in a good ole fashioned grudge match to escalate the ongoing feud between two MMA specialists. Both look strong heading into this match, but I feel like their feud is going to end on this night and in that case, the babyface should be winning.
