AEW Fight for the Fallen: Results, Grades, and Analysis
Show Rating: ****1/2 (4.5 stars out of 5)
This was a very good showing from AEW here, as their third show was much better than the last one, if you ask me. I liked Fyter Fest, but I liked this much more.
After the match, Matt Jackson grabbed a mic and said he was making fun of them for weeks but it was in the spirit of competition. Matt said they wrestled everybody and always heard a myth about the Rhodes brothers.
They heard that while the Rhodes in WWE that they were great, but they never saw it firsthand. They can say that those two were two of the best tag teams in world. The show ran a little long, so they didn’t get to finish their promo, but it was time to present the big cheque to the Victim Assistance Advisory Council.
They raised $150,000 dollars, which is a wonderful thing for a good cause.Cody then said “I’m not sure if we’re off the air, but you cannot counter program All Elite Wrestling. You can counter program Me, or Nick, or Matt, but you cannot counter program the love, the passion, and the revolution that is All Elite Wrestling!”
Cody then asked the fans if they were coming with them to TNT, and the crowd roared.Cody handed the mic to Kenny and asked him to close the show with his signature line. Omega thanked everyone for support the cause, and that the most important statement isn’t about their brand of wrestling, but their contribution to the city.
Kenny, being classy, decided to modify his sign off as it references guns and wouldn’t be appropriate tonight, so he ended with “Goodbye, goodnight, boing!”
Excellent show from AEW.
