#4. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page vs. Kip Sabian

Result: Adam Page defeats Kip Sabian via pinfall.

Grade: B+

Going into his AEW World Championship match against Chris Jericho at All Out, anything less than a win would have been disastrous for Page. Fortunately he came out on top at Fight for the Fallen with a hard fought victory against Kip Sabian. And while the win helped Page continue his unbeaten run in AEW, a gutsy performance against one of the company’s top stars also elevated Sabian in the eyes of the fans.

The match started out slow with Page controlling most of the early action and setting the pace of the bout. But soon Sabian found his groove and the pace of the match picked up as a result. It was a barrage of big moves from there on and it looked like the victory could have gone to either of the two.

This was not the best performance of Page’s career because he was carrying a knee injury, something that Sabian exploited on multiple occasions. But Page would eventually come out victorious after hitting his opponent with his Right of Passage finisher to get the three count.

After the match though, Page was assaulted by Chris Jericho dressed as one of The Dark Order’s creepers. Jericho hit Page with a Codebreaker followed by a Judas Effect leaving him a bloody mess in the ring and raising the stakes even further for All Out.
