Last Chance Winners Take All Extreme Rules Mixed Tag Team Match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship and WWE Universal Championship: Becky Lynch (c) & Seth Rollins (c) vs. Lacey Evans & Baron Corbin

It was finally time for the night’s main event and the longest match title in history. In their final shots at the gold, Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin challenge Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins with both titles on the line in an Extreme Rules Mixed Tag Team Match.

As the bell sounded, Lacey took a moment to adjust her kneepad and prominently display to Becky Lynch that she’d gotten “SETH” embroidered on her wrestling gear. Right near her posterior, to be exact.

Lynch responded by kicking Lacey to the outside, and not long after we saw things shift to Baron Corbin and Seth Rollins. After some offense by the Universal Champion, Baron Corbin retreated to the outside and retrieved a kendo stick.

Back in the ring, the kendo stick ultimately turned out to be a bad move. Rollins planted him with a slingblade, and Lacey Evans slipped into the ring and grabbed the kendo stick. She went to strike Rollins, but Seth caught it under his arm.

Lacey Evans responded by rubbing her hand on Seth Rollins, seemingly trying to seduce him, only for her to feel a kendo stick to the back from Becky Lynch. Rollins and Lynch then completely unloaded with kendo sticks, striking Corbin and Evans multiple times.

Corbin and Evans retreated to the outside only to eat a suicide dive from Rollins and baseball slide from Lynch. The action slowly got back into the ring, but Baron Corbin brought a steel chair into the action to step it up a notch.

Corbin managed to take control with the weapons, striking and wearing down Seth Rollins. He then set up another chair in the corner, seemingly preparing to send Rollins into it. Corbin tried to whip him into the corner, but Rollins countered it.

Rather than running into the corner, Corbin slid out of the ring and back in on the other side, but a few seconds later Rollins finally sent him careening into the chair. On the outside of the ring, steel chairs came into play again as Becky Lynch bashed Evans with a chair several times.

Lynch piled two chairs onto each other in the ring, suddenly launching Evans with a Bexploder into the chairs. She followed it up by draping a chair over Lacey’s prone body before leaping off the second rope with a leg drop onto the chair.

Becky Lynch climbed the top rope once again, but Baron Corbin dragged Lacey out of harm’s way. Corbin turned to Lynch, leaving him unaware when Seth Rollins suddenly springboarded into the ring with a knee to down Corbin.

Rollins then grabbed a chair, tossing it to Corbin. Unaware, Corbin held the chair for a moment only for Becky Lynch to finally come flying off the top with a dropkick that sent the chair right into the face of Baron Corbin. It was a “mandaminator.”

The action continued in the ring between Lynch and Evans, as “The Sassy Southern Belle” tried to regain control for her team. A big moonsault earned her a near fall, but then we saw “The Architect” part of Seth Rollins come back into play.

Rollins retrieved a few tables from underneath the ring, and Becky Lynch helped him set up two tables outside the ring. Unfortunately, it gave Corbin and Evans time to recover, and they quickly regained control by sending the champions into barricades at ringside.

Baron Corbin rolled Seth Rollins back into the ring before retrieving two fresh kendo sticks. With Lynch still down on the outside, Corbin and Evans began to unload on Rollins with several successive shots with the kendo sticks.

Corbin and Evans looked to chokeslam Rollins together, but Lynch slid back in to break it up. In response, Evans was able to turn and wrap her hand around Becky’s throat. Corbin and Evans planted the champions with individual chokeslams which earned them another near fall.

Things spilled back to the outside, very near the tables that had been set up earlier. Corbin repositioned one near the ramp and they looked to send Rollins through it with a double suplex. Rollins blocked it, and Lynch slid into position for them to double suplex Evans and Corbin onto the steel ramp.

Lynch and Rollins then moved back to the tables, rolling Corbin and Evans each onto a table. Lynch and Rollins ascended the turnbuckle for a big moment. Becky came flying off and drove Lynch through one table with a leg drop, and Seth Rollins sent Baron Corbin through the other with a huge frog splash.

Back in the ring, Rollins had Corbin in position and was looking for the stomp, but Corbin countered with a huge powerbomb before landing Deep Six. Corbin made the cover, but Becky Lynch broke it up before the count of three.

Lynch tossed Evans to the outside a few moments later before suddenly Baron Corbin grabbed Becky Lynch and drove her into the mat with End of Days. An absolutely stunned Seth Rollins suddenly unleashed on Baron Corbin.

Rollins demolished a kendo stick on the back of Corbin before hitting him multiple times with a chair. Rollins followed it up with not one, not two, but three consecutive stomps to pin Baron Corbin for the win.

Grade: A+, This was a mess of a match. It was an absurd stipulation that these four superstars suddenly turned into an extreme classic. There were a lot of great moments, and ultimately a solid finish that capped off a really well-rounded pay-per-view.

At least, we thought that was the end. Seconds after the bell rang, Brock Lesnar’s music echoed throughout the arena. Mr. Money in the Bank emerged onto the stage and marched his way towards the ring. Lesnar slid in and planted Seth Rollins with a series of german suplexes.

Paul Heyman handed the briefcase to the referee at ringside and the bell sounded to make the cash-in official. Brock Lesnar hoisted Rollins to his feet, delivered a single F5, and pinned him to become the new WWE Universal Champion.

Grade: B, This was fine for a cash-in. I’m not thrilled to see Brock Lesnar back with a title, but there was nothing wrong with this segment on its own. And who knows, maybe Paul Heyman in charge will make Lesnar as champion more tolerable somehow. Eh, a man can hope.

Next. Could Taker vs. McIntyre actually happen?. dark
