2. Braun Strowman

Who was the “real competition?” Indeed, Braun Strowman delivered as the true monster he is after defeating Bobby Lashley in a show-stealing Last Man Standing Match. These two behemoths left it all on the line and held nothing back.

This is the type of no-say-die attitude that the WWE needs in a potential champion who just happens to be a big guy.

Now that Strowman is fresh off one of the biggest victories of his career, he has all the momentum in the world and could very well use it to obtain championship gold very soon.

There is indeed a champion, whom he has unfinished business with, which is a striking reminder of who ranked #1 in the power rankings for Extreme Rules 2019.

1. Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar cashed in his MITB Briefcase to dethrone Seth Rollins, and win back the Universal Championship that he lost at WrestleMania 35. This means that we’re back to square one, but with a plot twist.

Now that Paul Heyman is in charge of Raw, maybe he will actually book Lesnar to be a better Universal Champion than he had been in the past. Maybe we could be in the works of witnessing the greatest Universal Champion of all time.

Jokes aside, there’s nothing to fear of Lesnar being Universal Champion. Since he peculiarly cashed in at Extreme Rules (a PPV that Lesnar rarely shows up to in today’s day and age), he will very likely drop the title at SummerSlam in August to a full-time superstar whom WWE is willing to push for the long run.

Now that the Seth Rollins experiment is potentially over, the Braun Strowman experiment will hopefully begin. Nonetheless, Lesnar closed the show with a bang and won the company’s top championship in the process.
