Charlotte Flair

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Charlotte Flair on WWE TV and even longer since we’ve seen her compete on television. It is not 100% clear why she’s been gone for so long, as apart from a mini-vacation, she has been wrestling at house shows over the course of the last month or so. Yet, the last time she wrestled on TV was on the Jun. 4 edition of SmackDown Live. Meanwhile, we last saw her on TV when she randomly appeared backstage to congratulate Ricochet on his US Title victory at Stomping Grounds.

With SummerSlam – WWE’s second biggest Pay-Per-View of the year – on the horizon, it might be safe to assume that a televised return for Charlotte Flair is on the horizon as well. Tonight might be used as the first step to get The Queen back onscreen and what better way to do so than to have her be Ember Moon’s mystery tag team partner?

Granted, it would be odd to sell given that Flair has been working as a heel for the better part of 2019, but considering that she joined a sea of babyfaces in congratulating Ricochet on his United States Championship win at Stomping Grounds, it might suggest that WWE have plans for Flair to work as a babyface going forward. If not, then tonight’s match could possibly set up a future feud with Ember Moon if arranged.
