WWE Raw 5 predictions: It’s time to squash the beef
By Mark Justice
There will be many fascinating segments and matches on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw. As the WWE universe travels the long, arduous road to SummerSlam, there are questions left unanswered, people left uncalled, and beef left un-squashed.
On tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, there are two scheduled grudge matches: (1) Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler, and (2) Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss.
Due to Ziggler’s actions against HBK Shawn Michaels last week, Rollins wants to beat some respect out of Ziggler on Raw.
Last week, Becky Lynch was on a Moment of Bliss, which was rudely interrupted by her SummerSlam opponent, Natalya. As the WWE Universe knows, Bliss hates it when her show is interrupted and wants a piece of “The Man” on Raw tonight.
Also, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe are scheduled to host a “Samoan Summit”. Apparently, they want to settle their differences or “squash the beef” from their impromptu interaction last week on Raw Reunion.
Meanwhile, there are other feuds on Raw that are worth being on the SummerSlam card on August 11: (1) Revival (c) vs. Usos for the Raw Tag Team Championships, and (2) AJ Styles (c) vs. Ricochet for the United States Championship.
However, these potential star-studded matches could be in jeopardy of occurring at all due to unfortunate circumstances.
With that being said, let’s make five key predictions about what could happen on tonight’s WWE Raw.
5. Becky Lynch Defeats Alexa Bliss
Becky Lynch seemed pretty angry when Natalya attacked her last week. There’s no doubt that she’s looking forward to releasing all that frustration on Alexa Bliss tonight.
Don’t be surprised if this match ends in a disqualification with Nikki Cross at ringside, and Natalya lurking in the Hart Dungeon. If it does end that way, it could turn into a tag match featuring Becky Lynch and Natalya vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
In that scenario, Lynch and Natalya could have trouble working together as a team due to their recent tensions.
Nonetheless, if the originally planned grudge match occurs, Lynch should pick up the win to gain momentum for her title match against Natalya at SummerSlam.
