2. Ricochet Challenges AJ Styles for the United States Championship At SummerSlam

The United States Championship picture is in as much jeopardy as the Raw Tag Team Championship picture. However, an arrest is not eliciting the jeopardy; this time, it’s an injury.

Indeed, Ricochet reportedly has an elbow infection, which explains why he was absent during Raw Reunion last week.

After losing the United States Championship at Extreme Rules in July, it seemed that Ricochet was getting set for a United States Championship rematch against Styles at SummerSlam in August.

In fact, the weekly attacks to Styles after the loss indicated that the feud was far from over.

If he makes a phenomenal recovery and will be ready to go by SummerSlam, Ricochet will most likely lose to Styles once again and move on to feuds with other superstars on the WWE Raw roster after SummerSlam.

If he doesn’t make said recovery. Styles would need a new #1 contender for the biggest event of the summer.

There are quite a few midcarders on the Raw roster who have nothing going for SummerSlam and could step up to the challenge and replace Ricochet: (1) Rey Mysterio, (2) Sami Zayn, (3) Braun Strowman, (4) Bobby Lashley, and even (5) EC3.

No matter the challenger, Styles should be holding onto that United States Championship for a long time on the Raw roster, as he reigns supreme with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson on his side.
