1.) Andrade

Indeed, Andrade unmasked Rey Mysterio on Monday Night Raw last week during the United States Championship Number One Contender’s Gauntlet Match. This unmasking exemplifies an immense disrespect to Mysterio’s Mexican culture as well as everything he stands for.

Mysterio’s mask is an essential part of his character in the WWE, and it hurts the hearts of all the Mysterio fans out there when he is subjected to such an act. However, it looks like this unmasking is WWE’s feasible way of putting another Superstar over or igniting a feud for the long run.

His face may have been unmasked, but his heart inside that squared circle still remains revered. Mysterio has had a history of spectacular matches with Andrade on SmackDown, and it should be no different if they had their very first one-on-one PPV match at SummerSlam. As Mysterio said, he has two goals: (1) defeat Andrade and (2) get back the United States Championship that he relinquished to Samoa Joe months back when he was injured.

Since Andrade got the upper hand with the unmasking, Mysterio should get the win at SummerSlam to accomplish his proximate goal of defeating Andrade and obtain retribution for his heritage. That win should help him maintain his momentum well enough for his ultimate goal: a potential United States Championship opportunity against current U.S. Champion AJ Styles at WWE Hell In A Cell in September.
