1. Kevin Owens

The feud between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon a couple of years ago was the polar opposite compared to the feud the two are having heading into SummerSlam 2019.  Owens was the dastardly heel that took out Shane’s 70-plus-year-old father and Shane was the one trying to get revenge, but this time around, Owens is trying to do the good deed.

Shane O’Mac has been on a reign of terror over the past few months since turning heel, feuding with the likes of The Miz, Roman Reigns, and now KO while gaining the services of Drew McIntyre and Elias in the process.  Owens took major offense to how much TV time Shane takes up from deserving Superstars and he wants to rid the WWE universe of Shane.  This turned KO babyface immediately and it has led to weeks of him trying to take out Shane every chance he gets.

It will all come to a head at SummerSlam when Owens takes on McMahon in a match with major implications for KO.  If Owens loses to the “best in the world” at SummerSlam, he will be forced to quit the WWE.  Needless to say, this is a big match that could greatly affect what happens post-SummerSlam in storyline sense.  And with that being said, Owens needs to KO Shane O’Mac at the biggest party of the summer.

Shane’s initial heel run was stellar and he has proven to be a formidable heel in 2019, but it’s gotten to the point where he needs to be behind the scenes more than on TV every week.  This provides the perfect opportunity for Shane to lose and fade into the background while KO gets a big win that he needs to remain in the company in kayfabe terms.
