NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Street Profits (c) vs. The Undisputed Era

After the opening video, the music for the Street Profits played, and the opening match was on!

The match opened with the Profits getting the shine early on, working over Fish and O’Reilly with a series of quick tags and good offense. While the Undisputed Era were the heels in this match, they were the favorites as O’Reilly is Canadian. Undisputed Era proved their worth with their tag team experience getting the advantage with hard strikes and offense.

Ford went for the People’s Elbow at one point but got cut off to a series of boos. Ford dumped O’Reilly over the top rope onto Fish and dove onto both men. O’Reilly managed to lock on a kneebar but it was broken up when Dawkins choke slammed O’Reilly onto Fish to break it up. O’Reilly and Fish tried to get the advantage back here, but they just couldn’t keep it for long.

Dawkins came into the ring and killed O’Reilly with a spear, then the same to Fish. Ford hit a massive frog splash on O’Reilly and got the pinfall victory! The Street Profits celebrated in the crowd after successfully defending their titles.

Result: The Street Profits retain the NXT Tag Team Titles

Rating: ***1/2 (3.5 stars)

All four men worked very hard here to deliver a perfectly well-paced opener. It seems the Undisputed Era’s attempts to win all the gold have failed for now.
