WWE Raw: Sasha Banks is back, and she’s coming for Becky Lynch
Tonight’s Raw saw Sasha Banks make her long awaited return to WWE with an emphatic, violent statement towards Women’s Champ, Becky Lynch.
The night after SummerSlam, Natalya arrived to the red ring with her arm in a sling. Hey, that rhymed! Swear that wasn’t intentional! Anyway, just as she stood in defeat after losing her WWE Raw Women’s Championship Submission Match last night vs. Becky Lynch, Nattie was moments away from recalling a dream she had last night of her late father telling her he’s proud of her. Then, suddenly, a familiar tune blared across the arena.
Cue Sasha Banks’ theme music.
Lo and behold, a wild Sasha Banks appears!
As we all know, Banks has been dealing with some real life personal issues behind the scenes that have kept her away from the ring for the past four months. She has not been seen inside of a WWE ring since WrestleMania 35 earlier this year, but tonight, she made her way back to the ring in arguably the loudest ovation of her career, and the loudest we’ve seen on Raw in a long time.
As she entered the ring engulfed in cheers for a hero’s welcome, Banks embraced her pal, Natalya, and tenderly told the native Canadian that her late dad would be proud of her. Right before clobbering Natalya from behind. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen (and anything else in between). We got a heel turn.

In perhaps the most aggressive we’ve ever seen from The Boss since her heel NXT days, she beat the unruly hell out of Natalya until Becky Lynch arrived to make the save. Lynch, of course, has spent the past few days trash talking Banks and basically goading her into a match from afar. Looks like she’s got it now.
Two-fourths of the Horsewomen brawled until Banks got ahold of a chair, which Banks used to mercilessly batter the Raw Women’s Champion.
Sasha Banks walked away with a conniving grin on her face. Looks like Becky Lynch has her next challenger for her title set up.
It seems bound to happen at this point. It’s not a matter of “if,” but a matter of “when.” Stay tuned, WWE Universe, and find out with the rest of us.
