WWE NXT to USA: Five stars that benefit the most
Rik Bugez
Rik Bugez may be the anomaly on this list. While everyone else may be recognized for their ability to deliver between the ropes from bell to bell, Bugez is an entertainment machine. Ever since his debut earlier this year, he’s been a rock and roll machine at NXT venues. He’s still developing his skill set as a member of the Performance Center, but it would be a mistake to think that Bugez isn’t an entertainer through and through. It’s still early in his WWE run, but he’s delivered when the light hits his flowing locks.
“What I want to be able to bring to the entire WWE Universe is an entertainer like they’ve never seen before,” Bugez said in a WWE Performance Center video back in February. “When the spotlights are on me, the people are cheering, they want to se an entertainer and that’s exactly what they are going to get. That’s why I tried out for the WWE in the first place.”
Entertainment is a big part of professional wrestling. Clearly, its what the E in WWE stands for. Leadership within NXT recognized something special about Bugez early this year and while he hasn’t been seen much on the network since, one should expect that to change when the show is settled within its new home on USA.
The verdict is still out as to whether he can deliver on the wrestling side of professional wrestling, but he has some of the best trainers available in the industry to get him to that level. Bugez doesn’t need to put on five star matches the likes of AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan. Instead, he needs to be able to hold his own as a character and a performer. He can already entertain and that’s as big of a portion as anything else when it comes to the WWE.
