WWE Raw Predictions: Long live The Monster Among Men
By Mark Justice
2. Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman lose the Raw Tag Team Titles
Last week on Raw, Universal Champion Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman dethroned Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions. Since Rollins and Strowman are not a legitimate tag team, they will most likely not hold onto the championships for long.
Expect Rollins and Strowman to drop their championships either back to the OC or to another heel tag team, such as the Viking Raiders. They won these championships only to set up their inevitable Universal Championship feud at Clash of Champions.
If Strowman and Rollins do lose the tag team championships to either the OC or the Viking Raiders tonight on Raw, a monster heel turn should be in order.
1. Braun Strowman turns heel and challenges Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship at Clash of Champions
Indeed, Strowman has to turn heel on Rollins, cost them the Raw Tag Team Championships, and challenge Rollins for the Universal Championship at Clash of Champions. Strowman has his eye on the Universal Championship since he saved Rollins from the OC ambush two weeks ago on Raw.
Rollins already promised Strowman backstage that he would be the next #1 contender for the Universal Championship, and it is very clear that Strowman’s priorities lie in the main event scene. With the OC being involved in this overbooked storyline, it’ll be interesting to see how the potential feud between Rollins and Strowman progresses on the road to Clash of Champions.
Considering that Strowman was also battling for the United States Championship against AJ Styles last week, there’s always hope that we will get a winner takes all triple threat match at Clash of Champions: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Braun Strowman vs. AJ Styles (c) for both the Universal and United States Championships. Now, that’s ‘real competition.’
