Baron Corbin vs. Cedric Alexander

Let’s kick these predictions off with one of the more talked about moments of the King of the Ring tournament so far.

Baron Corbin heeling it up on the King of the Ring throne on Raw was an instantly viral moment, and one that honestly even got me wondering if King Corbin wouldn’t be such a bad thing after all.

Nevertheless, his opponent in the quarterfinals, Cedric Alexander, likely has something to say about any early coronations of the former constable and general manager.

Alexander has been on a roll rivaled perhaps only be Buddy Murphy lately. He’s been able to showcase his talent in the main event of Raw, while also engaging in a back-and-forth rivalry with Drew McIntyre.

After steamrolling Sami Zayn in the first round, it should then be abundantly clear that a bright future is ahead for Alexander no matter his fate in this tournament.

Fortunately for the former Cruiserweight Champion, I suspect that fate won’t be an exit in the quarterfinals.

As much of a moment as Baron Corbin lounging on that throne was, it’s just not enough to make me think WWE is ready to cool off Cedric Alexander’s push.

With that being said, I think Alexander beats Corbin in a competitive match that sets him up for an even bigger showing in the semifinals of this tournament, and probably even the finals at Clash of Champions after that.

Winner: Cedric Alexander
